AIOPA - Monthly Meeting

Atlanta Inter-Orthodox Parish Association Meeting 4/28/2026

Fr. Christos welcomed everyone and thanked them for their time and efforts with AIOPA.

Our focus is on several events taking place in the coming months.

1)    Pan-Orthodox Pentecost Vespers on Saturday, May 30 at 3pm. Location: St. John the Wonderworker OCA Parish

Other Parish Events:

·      The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation

o   Atlanta Greek Festival Drive Thru, September 24-27, 2026 (more information to follow)

·      St. Christopher Greek Orthodox Church

o   The community will be doing their groundbreaking for their new church, on Saturday, May 9, the feastday of St. Christopher. Orthros begins at 8am. We are all invited to attend.

o   August 27, 2026, will be when the Peachtree Greek Festival will take place (more information to follow)

o   Golf Tournament will take place October 26, 2026 (more information to follow)

·      Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church

o   Will be hosting their annual Greek Festival from Friday to Sunday, May 15-17

·      FOCUS North America

o   They are doing many things in 2026 and are in need of items. A link of basic needs that FOCUS has so that parishes can help as much as they can is attached HERE.

·      Assembly of Bishops

o   In the spirit of celebration, you are cordially invited to the Inter-Parish Associations online community kick-off! As part of the mini course platform, every member of an IPA has access to a national online community to connect with IPAs across the country.

o   Join us on Thursday, May 14 at 7 PM ET for this 1-hour event.

o   In the hour, learn about the exciting things IPAs are doing across the country, understand how the online community will be used, and meet members of other IPAs.

o   To attend, make sure you’re registered for the IPA course. Then head to the community tab (IPA Synergy) to find the event. Alternatively, you can register HERE: IPA Synergy Community Kick-off
