AIOPA - Monthly Meeting
Atlanta Inter-Orthodox Parish Association Meeting 2/24/2026

Fr. Christos welcomed everyone and thanked them for their time and efforts with AIOPA.
Our focus is on several events taking place in the coming months.
1) Sunday of Orthodoxy Pan-Orthodox Vespers with His Eminence Metropolitan Gregory of Nyssa as our guest.
2) Holy Week and Pascha
3) Pan-Orthodox Pentecost Vespers on Saturday, May 30 at 3pm. Location: TBD
Other Parish Events:
· The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation
o Sunday of Orthodoxy Pan-Orthodox Vespers with His Eminence Metropolitan Gregory of Nyssa presiding on Sunday, March 1 at 5pm.
o Feast day of the Annunciation Vespers will take place at 6pm. All are invited to celebrate
· St. Christopher Greek Orthodox Church
o Will be hosting a Lenten Retreat on Saturday, March 28 from 9am - 2:30pm.
o The community will be doing their groundbreaking for their new church, on Saturday, May 9, the feastday of St. Christopher. Orthros begins at 8am. We are all invited to attend.
· St. Raphael, Nicholas and Irene Greek Orthodox Church
o Will be hosting a Lenten Retreat on Friday, February 27 at 6pm.
· Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church
o Will be hosting a Lenten Retreat on Saturday, March 14 from 8:30am to 4:30pm
· FOCUS North America
o They are doing many things in 2026 and are in need of items. A link of basic needs that FOCUS has so that parishes can help as much as they can is attached HERE.
· OCF
· The OCF Southeast regional retreat is Friday March 27 - Sunday March 29 featuring Fr Barnabas Powell presenting “Taming the Passions.” A flyer and registration link are attached HERE.
After several emails and phone calls, it was decided that we will skip the March meeting, to focus on the remainder of Great Lent, Holy Week and Pascha and that we will gather again in April.
