AIOPA - Monthly Meeting

During the November 29 meeting:

Opening Prayer was offered by Fr. Christos Mars

Florian Ion reviewed the current and upcoming events with group members providing updates.

Fr. Christos—Candlelight Service and Christmas Concert to be attended by multiple parishes.

Jackie Sarantis—CHOA fundraisers coming to an end however may be extended. A little over ½ of the goal has been met as of today.

Julia Hill—YAL event from November was well attended by several parishes. She had a meeting with YAL leaders from various parishes to get together and plan events. The meeting was well attended with excitement to move forward.

Florian reviewed details of the upcoming Assembly of Bishops meeting scheduled for January 28-31, 2023.

Florian encouraged us all to maintain the momentum of what our goal of AIOPA is about:

Q&A

1.      How far in advance do you need events? The earlier the better. Can even post if within 3 days, but will not get as much exposure as an event that is posted earlier

2.      Can we get more Clergy Spotlights posted. Fr. Christos is working with the Clergy to get more spotlights, but some are more interested in writing articles for the Chronicles rather than doing the spotlights. This is another opportunity to get to know the clergy in a manner other than the spotlight.

Fr. Christos thanked everyone for their participation and commitment to this responsibility we have been tasked with and to continue to spread the word of AIOPA.

Fr. Christos offered the closing prayer.

Attendees:

Toni Taggart, Jackie Sarantis, Stephen Sarantis, Fr. Christos Mars, Julia Hill, Borko Komnenovic, Theo Mantzikos, Sarah Stewart, Florian Ion, Garrett Klawuhn, Cristina Lekas.
